Our Vet-Togethers have been well attended. If you haven’t attended one yet, you are missing out on fun and camaraderie with your sister veterans. You can join in the games or just sit and gab. “Please make sure you RSVP for each one that you want to come to at the links below” and on our website www.etnwomenveterans.com/calendar/
We had a group of ETWVN members meet at 5 Rivers Adventures in August to enjoy rafting on the lower Pigeon River. The stormy weather cleared up just in time for the launching of the rafts. Everyone had a lot of fun and camaraderie! If you missed this year, save the dates for next year. Easy level rafting June 27, 2026 and Adventure level rafting (class IV-V rapids) August 29, 2026!
East TN Foundation for Women Veterans is launching our annual All American Sheroes Campaign! Our mission to support Women Veterans living in the Greater Knoxville Tennessee area needs your help! We provide East Tennessee Women Veterans with information and resources, including an extensive social and support group. East TN Women Veterans Network currently hosts over 600 local women veterans, with no membership fees. We provide a safe space and a voice in the veterans community for women who have served and are often overlooked when it comes to community Veterans Recognition and Support. Each First Saturday has been very well attended by many veterans and families.
Do you love to sing? Join some of your fellow sister veterans by joining Military Voices of East TN (MVET) military and veterans choir! It is hosted by the Knoxville Opera Company. Click HERE to submit your interest, and you will be contacted about joining and future practices/performances.

The Knoxville Dream Center has volunteer opportunities. Jessica is wanting to put together two teams of five to work the Grocery Distribution Program as a small group. (Still need 3 people per group). These are the 2 dates. Contact Jessica at [email protected] for more details.

Come join your sisters in serving members of our Veterans’ Community with a FREE Breakfast. Each month we are the hosts of the Emerald Avenue location of the United Veterans Council Free Veterans Breakfast Program! Sign up to volunteer or just come to eat, coffee is ready at 8:00 and chow starts at 8:30. 18 October – 11 AM – 4 PM – Third Saturday Lunch & Outing -RSVP for October Third Saturday Lunch & Outing HERE Meet for lunch at 11 AM at Outback Steakhouse 402 S Illinois Ave, Oak Ridge, TN 37830. Then we will go to the American Museum of Science and Energy, 115 E Main St, Oak Ridge, TN 37830. Tickets will be supplemented by ETWVN, your ticket cost is $5.
23 October – 1 PM – 6 PM – Wreaths Across America/Food City Fundraiser – Day 1. Food City Powell, 7530 Clinton Hwy, Powell TN – Every October the Food City Corporation invites local organizations to host a Wreaths Across America Educational Campaign at Food City stores throughout our area. This year the campaign is during the fourth weekend in October and East TN Women Veterans will be at Food City Powell, located at 7530 Clinton Hwy, Powell TN that weekend. We always need volunteers for this event and not only from our membership but from the community as well! If you are or have a student that needs volunteer credit, we are a 501c3 non profit and can validate volunteer time with their school. We have lots of shifts available and will work with your schedule! Please either bring a chair or wear comfortable shoes for you shift. Dress appropriately for the weather, we will be outside. We will have water and snacks on hand for you. Snacks available will be chips, pretzels,bananas, oranges and candy. Please sign-up for as many shifts as you want HERE!

(This is a fundraising event for ETWVN.) If you want to have a craft table (bring your own table), click HERE, there is no charge for the first table for our veterans. Other crafters will pay $30! Volunteers are also needed!
